I start the launcher and it doesn't show anything but the phrase "Updating Tools (0%)" at the bottom with no progress even after having it open all night and the Play button grayed out...

Also when I tried to install Diablo 3 (real version) from I have it downloaded and installing it gets to a certain point halfway throughout the bar and stops with no further progress even after having it open an entire night as well...

Users reported that this solution was helpful to them, so feel free to try it.

Solution 3 – Change AMD Catalyst Control Settings In order to perform this solution, make sure that Diablo 3 isn’t running.

Here it would seem like many others have the same issue and couldn't fix it even after uninstalling... Right click on the Diablo 3 setup file you downloaded via the Blizzard Downloader Select Properties Choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3) (Note: Does not work on Vista.) Right Click the Icon, Run as Administrator. Delete your C:\Program Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Cache folder. Run the Downloader again, as administrator, and see if it gets past the “Updating Setup Files” window. This one worked for me: try and find the agent application in the folder (for example C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\battle.net\Agent).

Properties Change it from ‘Disabled’ to ‘Automatic’ Run your Diablo 3 setup as administrator and it should quickly go through Updating Setup Files and bring you to an install screen. Start the agent application manually and after that start Diablo III setup file in your Diablo-III-8370-en GB-Installer folder.

Leave the Windows 10 Setup window as is and try this: 1.Note: I know the above is an old post but perhaps other people can benefit from this.In here, type services.msc) and stop the Windows Update Service.Since this time there has been a few updates that I have noticed (as having a digital copy and can update get the updates at any time) one last week was fairly long took me about 30 mins to finish downloading the update.(but my internet speed is also crap) The first post was probably looking at when you said you changed windows users (login) and though you were typing to login to D3 which the servers are not online yet so you cant.my windows 7 was recently proving unable to install all its updates also.
